Cheryl currently serves as the Chief of Staff for Hire Heroes USA. She joined the organization in 2015 and transitioned into the Chief of Staff Role in April 2024. She provides strategic support on near-term and long-term strategic goals and objectives of Hire Heroes USA by maximizing the reach and effectiveness of the CEO, driving organizational effectiveness, managing key initiatives, and ensuring alignment across departments.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science from Shorter University and a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from the University of Georgia. Before joining Hire Heroes USA, she worked for the State of Georgia as a Research Analyst in Physician Workforce Planning. During her tenure with the organization, she worked on the volunteer team and served as a leader on the development team.
Cheryl lives north of Atlanta with her husband, an Air Force Veteran, and three sons. When not working, she enjoys reading, spending time outside, and volunteering with her kid’s schools and sports teams.
