Julie Soares serves as Director of Financial Readiness at Wounded Warrior Project®, a national nonprofit dedicated to empowering wounded veterans and their families. Drawing on extensive experience in financial services, corporate leadership, and nonprofit program management, she leads initiatives that provide the military-connected community with financial education, personalized guidance, and pathways to long-term stability.
Before joining Wounded Warrior Project, Soares held leadership roles in the financial industry, overseeing teams across investment services, retail and business banking, and vendor relations. She later served as a Key Account Manager for PepsiCo in Hawaii, strengthening strategic partnerships and managing key account operations. Earlier in her career, she led permitting operations with the Department of Environmental Protection, where she developed valuable expertise in regulatory processes and public service.
Known for her relationship-driven and mission-focused leadership, Soares advances financial resilience programs designed to meet veterans and service members where they are and equip them for lasting success. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a master’s degree in business and marketing from the University of North Alabama.
