Ms. Terri Miller - Association of Military Banks of America

Ms. Terri Miller is a consumer education specialist in the Division of Consumer and Business Education in the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. Terri crafts and implements public education campaigns on a variety of consumer protection topics, including impersonator scams, identity theft, student loan debt relief, and youth digital and financial literacy. Terri is a proud former Marine Corps spouse and leads the agency’s Military Consumer outreach program, which focuses on efforts to help servicemembers, veterans, and their families detect and avoid fraud and scams that can impact everyday life in the military. Through partnerships at the federal, state, and local level, Terri disseminates timely and targeted plain-language practical advice through blogs, webinars, television and radio interviews, social media, and in-person events. Before joining the FTC, Terri worked for the Marine Corps helping active duty service members and spouses activate and utilize military education benefits to pursue higher education. She also spent over twelve years working at various postsecondary education institutions across the U.S. Terri received her BA from Bridgewater College and her MS from Old Dominion University.
