Patrick is a distinguished retail bank executive, veteran, and licensed attorney who built and currently leads USAA Bank’s Operations and Governance for Bank Military Benefits (SCRA and MLA) and FCRA (Credit Bureau Reporting). In this role he developed an industry leading Military Benefits Operation reviewing all Bank members monthly to proactively identify and apply SCRA benefits without a request. Additionally, Patrick also leads Physical Channels for USAA Bank. In this role he is responsible for the Operations and development and execution of strategies related to USAA’s physical distribution channels (financial centers, ATMs, ITMs). Previously, he led the USAA Bank legal counsel for all SCRA, MLA and UDAAP matters.
Prior to USAA, Patrick served as Senior Vice President at PNC Bank where he built and led the Operations and Governance for its centralized Servicemember Program (SCRA and MLA). Patrick also held senior roles in the legal department of HSBC Bank USA, N.A. He started his career in financial services as a litigator at a mid-size national law firm representing the top 5 financial institutions in litigation and class actions in federal and state courts involving alleged violations of consumer protection laws in connection with mortgage loans, unsecured loans, automobile financing, credit card accounts, and consumer credit sales.
Patrick is an Air Force veteran (Active Duty and Reserves) and ROTC graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. As an Intelligence Officer, he held leadership positions in intelligence organizations in the Pentagon and Pacific Air Forces.
He holds a Juris Doctor degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Duquesne University School of Law.
