Bank of the Rockies Supports Veterans During Military Appreciation Month
In recognition of Military Appreciation Month, Bank of the Rockies employees and communities came together to support veterans through a company-wide donation drive benefiting the Fort Harrison VA Hospital in Helena, Montana.
All branch locations participated, collecting essential items identified as high-priority needs by the VA hospital. According to Fort Harrison’s volunteer coordinator, many of the donated supplies will be distributed to VA clinics across the state, while others will directly support homeless veterans and those transitioning into permanent housing.
The initiative received an overwhelming response from employees, customers, and local communities, demonstrating a shared commitment to honoring those who have served. Due to its success, Bank of the Rockies plans to make the donation drive an annual tradition, working closely with Fort Harrison each year to identify and address the most pressing needs of Montana’s veteran population.
That commitment to supporting veterans extends beyond Military Appreciation Month. As a recipient of our Matching Grant Program, Bank of the Rockies is expanding its efforts to recognize and serve veterans and military families throughout the year. Through this partnership, the bank will present Challenge Coins and Legacy Boxes to veterans, honoring their service while helping preserve their stories and legacies. Honor Defined has been engaged to produce the coins and boxes and to strengthen connections within the veteran community. Grant funding will also support The Station Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting the mental health and well-being of Special Operations Forces veterans and their families, further amplifying the impact of these meaningful initiatives across Montana and beyond.
